INTRODUCTION FOR PARENTS
Helping Children Build Strong Foundations in English
Early confidence matters. When children understand how sounds, letters and words work together, they can begin to approach reading and spoken English with greater independence.
Sue combines more than 20 years of teaching experience with specialist experience in English as an Additional Language, phonics, literacy and teacher training. Her lessons are designed to make learning purposeful, interactive and enjoyable.

LESSON EXPERIENCE
Interactive, Encouraging and Adapted to the Child
Children learn best when they feel engaged and successful. Sue uses age-appropriate activities and adapts her teaching to the child’s pace, strengths and areas that need additional support.
The aim is not simply to complete exercises, but to help children understand what they are learning and build the confidence to apply it in reading, pronunciation and communication.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT
Every Child Learns Differently
Some children need extra time with particular sounds. Others may read well but lack confidence speaking. Some may understand English in class but need more personalised support to use it independently.
Sue’s experience in assessment and differentiated teaching allows her to adjust lessons according to the learner rather than expecting every child to progress in exactly the same way.
